Research Phase - CNC Conversions

I bought a used sherline lathe and mill and have been thinking that it would be a nice way to get into having a cnc at home. This thread, if it works out will serve the roles of documenting and organizing my research on the topic of home/hobby cnc conversions, as well as be a good reason to get pretty familiar with blogger.
